Pattaya Golf Courses

Pattaya has an abundance of world class courses within a 1 hour drive. Courses designed by golf champions such as Jack Niklaus, Gary Player, and Nick Faldo. The Golf experience in Pattaya is absolutely idyllic, and very affordable. An average day's golf including transport, green fees, and caddy fees, will cost about Bt 1,500 (about US$ 45), some courses even less.I have listed some of the top courses in the Pattaya area. Golf Societies
There are several golf societies in Pattaya, formed to organise and coordinate golfing events in the Pattaya area. The Pattaya Golf Society organises golf competitions three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The meeting point is the Rabbi's Elephant Bar on Soi Buakao. The Pattaya Golf Society can be contacted at Rabbi's Elephant Bar or through the Pattaya Golf Society website. The International Pattaya Golf Club coordinates competition golf in the Pattaya area. IPGC negotiates with local clubs to achieve the best discount rates for competition green fees. Competitions are organised by the member clubs six days a week. Bangpra Golf Club - driving directions to course
Bangpra Golf Club is the one of the oldest golf courses in Thailand constructed in 1958, and updated In 1988. It is one of the best kept mature courses in the Pattaya area. Bangpra is laid out over undulating land in a gently sloping valley surrounded by densely wooded forests. The fairways are well kept and all the greens roll fast and true making putting a pleasure. There is a hotel with swimming pool. Distance from Pattaya: 39km, about 40 mins drive.
Burapha Golf Club
Located in rolling countryside near the new Chonburi - Pattaya Highway, Burapha Golf Club has two 18-hole championship golf courses. The courses are enhanced by the natural features - lakes, hills, mature mangoes, coco palms and landscaped gardens. Distance from Pattaya: 35 Km (30 Mins).
The Burapha Golf Club has its own hotel, and offers special golf packages.
Chonburi Century Golf Club - driving directions to course
Designed by Nick Faldo the 18 hole course has a beautiful, tropical setting amongst mountains, rivers, canyons, and lakes. The course is near Banbung.
Crystal Bay Golf Club
Crystal Bay Golf Club is the former Natural Park Resort Golf Club that opened in 1988. The 27 hole course was designed by Thai Takenaka. The three 9-hole sections can be played in different combinations, offering a variety of 18 hole courses. Crystal Bay has a tropical style with waving palms and lush fairways. The course is a delight for every golfer, with well placed bunkers on the hilly fairways, undulating greens, and the No 8 island hole. Water is also used as an attractive feature of the course, not just as a hazard. The course has excellent clubhouse facilities, with a restaurant, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and tennis courts offering a relaxing end to the day.
Eastern Star Golf Club
 This local favourite, landscaped around a former coconut plantation, plays host to several area competitions. The par 3 fourth lulls players into a false sense of security with its sheer beauty! The challenge is to play over water to a heavily bunkered green. With well positioned shots this is a course to suit beginner and experienced golfer alike
Great Lake Golf & Country Club - driving directions to course
The Great Lake Golf & Country Club, designed by Nick Faldo is situated on the Dok Krai reservoir's banks. In addition to the natural water hazards, there are 120 bunkers incorporated into the course design, eleven of which are along the par-four 18th, the course's most famous hole.
Greenwood Golf and Resort (Noble Place) - driving directions to course
The Greenwood Golf and Resort (formerly Noble Place Golf Club) makes heavy use of flowing fauna and extensive landscaping. Located among the tree lined hills of Chonburi the course and backdrop are very scenic.
Khao Kheow Country Club - driving directions to course

Khao Kheow Country Club has a 27-hole championship course. A challenging course that offers spectacular mountain vistas and climate. Weekday green fee Bt 2,000. Laem Chabang International Country Club - driving directions to course
Designed by Jack Niklaus, Laem Chabang golf course, has 27 holes, and makes use of natural features to characterise each section of the course. They are known as Mountain 9, Lake 9 and Valley 9. The course has natural hazards in the shape of exposed rock formations, lakes, ponds and creeks. Rated one of Thailand’s top 5 courses.
Mountain Shadow Golf Club
Mountain Shadow Golf Club, formerly the Natural Park Hill Golf Club, was re-opened 2004 after a complete renovation, including the club house. The Ronald Fream designed Mountain Shadow is a very attractive course crafted out of a former mango plantation with beautiful flowers and trees providing a backdrop to every green.
The course has water hazards, dog-legs and four island greens that make a challenging experience for golfers of all levels. It is a relatively short 18-hole course and is always kept in excellent condition.
Pattana Golf Resort & Sport Club
Pattana Golf course is a 27-hole course surrounded by a scenic mountain range. The course is built on natural rolling terrain, and consists of three 9-hole courses named Andreas, Brookei, and Calypso. Tee-off times are from 06:00 am to 03:00 pm.
Pattaya Country Club
Pattaya Country Club course has wide fairways and a slightly hilly layout. Set in a forest park atmosphere and with beautiful lakes, the course is designed for golfers of all levels.
Plutaluang Navy Golf Course
The Plutaluang Navy Golf Club is one of the oldest and most natural courses in the country. The Chonburi Hills provide the scenic back drop to this 36 hole course, that borders on a large lake. Weekday green fees (18 holes): Bt 800.
Phoenix Golf & Country Club
The Phoenix Golf course is set in wooded, rolling terrain, with three nine hole courses - Ocean, Lake and Mountain. The middle nine presents a challenge with its extensive use of water hazards around the fairways. A profusion of mango, eucalyptus trees and flowering shrubs add color and give a natural feel to the course. Weekday green fee Bt 1,400.
Rayong Century Country Club
Rayong Century Country Club golf course has 18 holes and is located just outside of Banchang in Rayong province. It is about 40 minutes drive from Pattaya. The course has many attractive holes with rolling fairways. The various kinds of bunkers offer a challenging and exciting game.
Rayong Green Valley Country Club
Rayong Green Valley is set on the side of a hill. It features an inspired design that makes full use of the natural rocky outcrops, boulders and native fauna, to create an enjoyable and challenging round of golf for players of all levels. Bunkers are well placed to invite more experienced golfers to attempt the drive over them.
Siam Country Club
The golf course and clubhouse were recently renovated. The course is landscaped with mature trees, shrubs and plants. Many of the golf holes play past a series of lakes, and strategically placed creeks. Long, straight driving is required to negotiate the often narrow fairways.
Sriracha International Golf Course
Sriracha Golf course, designed by Gary Player, is a relatively short course set in beautiful countryside, with many par-fours and few water hazards. Most of the greens have slopes and bunkers are deep. Since the fairways are wide, aggressive players capable of producing long drives can take advantage of down slopes and humps to make their drives bounce on for an extra 30 yards.
St Andrews 2000 Golf Club The course created by Desmond Muirhead is about 45 minutes from Pattaya. This is a challenging course with two Par 6's. It’s a tough test of golf from any tee and certainly one of Thailand's most interesting and exciting courses. There's some spectacular holes and terrific views. It's a pleasure to play for the experienced golfer. The course is maintained in good condition. The nearby Rayong Green Valley Country Club makes it a popular course with golf tourists. The Treasure Hill golf course is situated on a hill side and offers a challenging golf day on rolling fairways. This is a longer than average course with lots of hazards, that make it an appealing course for keen golfers. There are 18 holes and it is operated as a membership golf course. The course is 58 km (60 mins) from Pattaya.
